A Bakeverly Society challenge · starts Monday, November 9
Thanksgiving Pies
The centerpiece bake. Pumpkin, pecan, apple, or the one your family argues about every year.
Three tips before you start
- Blind-bake until the floor of the crust looks dry — a filling never fixes a raw base.
- Pecan pie is set when the center puffs slightly and wobbles as one piece, not in rings.
- Apple: toss the fruit with sugar and let it sit an hour, then drain — that syrup is your glaze, not your soggy bottom.
There’s a challenge like this every week
Society members bake a new theme every week, share their photos, and the winner is featured right here.
